The focus was on the Zsámbék Science and Technology Park

The establishment of the Zsámbék Science and Technology Park, the presentation of the current status of the project and the establishment of relations with the Czech industrial and science parks were discussed at the meeting held at Óbuda University on 22 September. Petr Michalek, representing the Czech Embassy in Budapest (Economic and Commercial Counselor), and Pavel Jovanovič, head of the Bohemian Innovation Center attended the meeting Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács, Rector, Dr. habil. Imre Felde Deputy Rector for Industrial and Business Relations, Prof. Dr. Miklós Kozlovszky, Dean of the John von Neumann Faculty of Informatics, Dr. György Eigner, University Research and Innovation Center, Director of the John von Neumann Faculty of Informatics Institute of Biomatics and Applied Artificial Intelligence, Botond Fehér, Director General for Economic Affairs and Viktória Tafferner-Gulyás, Head of the International Relations Office participated from the part of Óbuda Universiry, whereasmong others, Horváth László, the mayor of Zsámbék, and Nász Csaba, representing his industrial partners, were also invited to the meeting. The topic of the discussion was the establishment of the Zsámbék Science and Technology Park and the presentation of the current status of the project. A similar project is running in the Central Bohemian region in collaboration with industry and academia.
The aim was to establish direct contacts, discuss about potential study visits to Czech industrial and scientific parks and set up an Advisory Board.

Industry 4.0 - the industry of the future

Local environmental and social development is a priority in the integrated cooperation of businesses, the public sector and higher education institutions.

The Zsambek Future Industries (STP) is a creative, knowledge-based, environmentally conscious pilot project within the field of Industry 4.0 technologies.

The Science Park has been envisioned in an open and self-sustaining industrial innovation ecosystem, which aims to be a service-oriented R & D & I digital center. Scientific, research incubation centers, business services, technology manufacturing and prototyping, educational and training facilities and discovery center showrooms will be featured in the designated real estate development area. The contract for the project has already been signed by local business partners, including Telenor (telecommunications), Medicor (healthhtech), H1 Systems (data center), Craftunique (3D printing), Grepton Group (drones AR&VR), C3S (nano-satellite space technology) , Virtuosos (content, education), iFace (digital marketing solutions) and various small and medium-sized businesses in the fields of fintech, legaltech, digital education and e-sports. The project coordinators also contacted international business partners. They intend to play a central role as the international digital center of the Science Park on the Baltic - V4 countries - Balkans - Germany axis, which is why negotioations of a potentioal collaborations between Hungarian and Czech partners has been initiated.

According to the plans education and training programs will be organically aligned with the needs of industry. Industrial innovation development can lead to closer links between different industries, business associations, innovation centers and new technology parks.

The aim of the project participants is, among a wider ranged of purposes, to create competitive new products and services and to allocate EU funds efficiently. Another goal is to make the Science Park not only a center of innovation for the creative technologies of the future but also to showcase technological innovations to visitors. The facility focuses on Hungarian creativity and innovations and with the opportunity to see and try them all. The park can even be a destination for family day trips..
