Óbuda University as the only university from Hungary represented by the Vice Rector for International and Public Relations and the International Office attended the 10th International Fair for Higher and Continuing Education called StudyWorld 2015 last weekend. 156 exhibitors from 27 countries presented their programmes and services to 8,318 visitors from all over Germany at the expo.

On the 18-19th of April the International Office organized a trip to Pécs, the former capital of culture, the mediterranean city of Hungary and the home of Zsolnay manufacture.

In the morning of the 19th of February a group of 12 international students visited the Kőbányai and Dreher Beer Factory in Budapest.

On the 5th of March the International Office with some Brazilian students payed a visit to the famous Audi factory in Győr. My expectations were high but it turned out to be much better than I’ve predicted. Here is how it went down.

Marching of the Busós

Carnivals are different in many countries. One of the most famous ones is the Rio de Janeiro’s festival in Brazil where the dancer ladies wear a few colourful clothes and the event is about party and fun. Here in Hungary because of the different weather conditions and traditions our carnival’s aim is also different. So I decided to show my Brazilian friends what a carnival means to us, that is making noise with clappers, frightening with strange masks and burn bonfire to chase the winter and waiting for the spring.
