On July the 15th 2016, the John von Neumann Faculty of Informatics of the Óbuda University held its first bilingual graduation ceremony ever, marking that two years have passed since the first students in the Stipendium Hungaricum programme started their studies in the Faculty.

Prof. Dr. Mihály Réger was appointed Rector of Óbuda University

Prof. Dr. Mihály Réger was appointed Rector of Óbuda University by János Áder, the President of Hungary on 15 July, 2016 for the next three year term according to the proposal of Zoltán Balog, Minister of Human Capacities.  Credentials wereas given to him by the President of Hungary on the 29th of June, 2016 at the Sándor Palace.

Factory Visit at Siemens

We were lucky of being a part of this new factory visit to “Siemens”, organized by the Office of International Education. All in all, the group of Óbuda University students was made by five different nations: Algerians, Ecuadorians, Hungarians, Indians, and Laotian.

With deep sorrow and great sadness we announce that Prof. Dr. János Fodor has passed away with infinite dignity on the 23rd of March, 2016 at age 59, after having endured serious illness.
