Óbuda University and Strathmore University are strategic academic and development partners

Óbuda University has designated Strathmore University in Kenya as a strategic academic and development partner in the East African region. Delegation of Óbuda University, Budapest, Hungary, visited Strathmore University, Nairobi, Kenya on June 23, 2021.

Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács, Rector and Mr. Tamás Kersánszki, Head of Tender and Knowledge Transfer Office, visited Strathmore University in Nairobi, where they agreed on Erasmus + student and faculty cooperation, the organization of international scientific conferences and the establishment of a joint university-enterprise development center with Prof. Izael Pereira Da Silva, Director of Innovation and Dr. Joseph Sevilla, Head of ILabAfrica University Incubator Center.

The ÓU delegation visited the university laboratories and incubation center, and then Rector Kovács gave a lecture to university instructors and students entitled “Cyber ​​medicine systems as a digitized medical approach, new possibilities in cancer treatment”.

In his presentation, he emphasized that IoT-supported medicine has opened up new research and development opportunities in the field of IT and therapeutic treatments, and therefore considers it important to share knowledge in international collaborations that can accelerate the application of innovative developments and solutions in real medicine.
