On the 9th of November we, the students of Óbuda University had the possibility to visit one of the biggest plants of the BOSCH company located in Hatvan.
The trip from Budapest to Hatvan was 1-1,5-hour long. As soon as we arrived many students were fascinated by the size of the factory.
After receiving the passes we watched a presentation in which we learned that the plant was established in 1998.Now 18 years later, it is the biggest production site of BOSCH. Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Toyota, Tesla and many other automobile manufacturer are receiving most of their electronic units from this plant.
Although the most important thing is the attitude of BOSCH towards the society. The communication manager said that the company supports the education of children and the social life of the town.
After the presentation we were ready to see the manufacturing process. We were asked not to take photos inside the manufacturing area. Because of the small size of the products of this factory even human's static field can affect the accuracy and the quality of elements. In order to prevent such a situation we used special shirt and shoe-covers, which had to touch your skin. What an interesting solution! All these preparations and restrictions show us that the BOSCH company always take care of the quality of the products and of course about the customers who will use them at the end.
We saw only two manufacturing sites out of four, but it was enough to understand the significance of electronic equipment which is produced in the factory.
At the end of the tour inside the manufacturing area students were also interested in applying for a job in this plant.
I think every participant of this factory visit is grateful to our Office of International Education for such an opportunity.
